Inspire Young Performers

Kids love to perform.  Kids love to sing.
Kids love the strong emotions and larger-than-life characters of opera. 
Traditional operatic repertoire can be tremendously kid-friendly, if introduced effectively.

What better way to encourage kids' love of the art than to have them perform it themselves?
 

Challenging Repertoire

Opera is a medium for mature singers and much of the standard operatic repertoire contains musical, vocal, and dramatic demands that are either beyond the reach of young performers or inappropriate for their age.

By adapting familiar stories and elaborating on the plots to add characters and dramatic variety we have created a series of new works that are accessible and appropriate for young singers and yet are also musically challenging and artistically satisfying.

The music for each opera was arranged using the works of one great operatic composer, set in a way that mirrors each composer's own operatic style, giving each opera a cohesiveness and stylistic integrity which allows students a greater depth of understanding and appreciation for these great masters.
